Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 7 amβ4 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (346) 382-0930. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.9 out of 5 from 272 reviews, which is a strong result for a coffee shop in The Woodlands and suggests consistent service.
The Woodlands is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around The Woodlands is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

YOU WONT REGRET TRYING IT! My mom has been trying their coffee for a while now and loves it. She even bought the coffee to brew it at home and I have it and itβs awesome. Also I have tried their matcha and a dirty chai latte and also 10/10. Will def come back and good prices too! Ricardo is very knowledgeable and kind too (owner).

I loved the PiΓ±a Colada smoothie! What I really liked is that itβs made with coconut milk, perfect for me! What I loved the most was the service: absolutely fabulous. The young man who helped me was super kind, attentive, and took the time to explain everything. I will definitely be coming back!!! Thank you βΊοΈ

I think of myself as a coffee affectiono and this brew is one of best. I have traveled east of the Mississippi and throughout the Midwest and would happily stand in line for this cup again. I met Mauricio and learned a great deal about the origin of this shop. You should too. Highly recommend!

Iβm a true coffee lover β not someone who just looks for a pretty place, but someone who cares about the quality of the cup. Many coffee shops invest in dΓ©cor and atmosphere but forget the most important thing: the coffee. That is not the case at Pura Vida Coffee. From the moment you walk in, youβre welcomed with genuine smiles, warm service, and a real heart for the community. You donβt feel like just another customer β you feel valued. And the coffee? Simply outstanding. Grown in the mountains of Costa Rica, carefully selected, naturally dried, and perfectly roasted. The result is a full-bodied, aromatic coffee with smooth fruity notes thatβs easy on the stomach. Every cup is made with passion and excellence. After trying it, your standards change β itβs hard to go anywhere else. Important: Please check their hours before visiting. They close at 4:00 PM, so donβt expect to find coffee after that time. Highly recommended. Once you try Pura Vida, youβll understand why the name says it all.

As a former chef by trade, now... wine enthusiast, I approach coffee the same way I do wine. Its about place. Like the grape varietal of a wine, the bean of a coffee is the same. Regional, bean, terrior, altitude, roast, climate, barista... It's not much different. At Pura Vida Coffee, you'll get a Latin America regional coffee, Costa Rican beans and a Costa Rican owner/barista. He is AS passionate about the coffee and the service of it, as a Sommelier is about a wine, FULL STOP! The service industry is rough, ask anyone working in restaurant's or retail... itβs the 'People business' and often, NOT pretty. But it takes a nurturing soul to work in it, especially when it comes to the food and beverage service of it.... I mean, would you look at that crema!!! π Absolute Perfection! π― Underneath it, is the lovely body and heart of my 'Cubano style' espresso, that I asked him to make. Nailed it amigo, delicious. π Pura Vida
